Glen Alpine Dual Occupancy

Glen Alpine Dual Occupancy is a considered infill project by GeriesPayne that explores subdivision, retention, and renewal within an established suburban context. The brief involved the subdivision of an existing lot, the partial demolition of an existing dwelling, and the construction of a new residence alongside it.

The architectural response carefully references the scale, materiality, and rhythm of the retained dwelling, ensuring continuity across the site. At the same time, the new dwelling is expressed as a contemporary addition to the streetscape, balancing deference with clarity to create a cohesive yet distinctly modern composition.
